This message is to inform you that most students will be returning to in-person learning at CMS tomorrow, Friday, September 24th.
We want to thank you for your patience and support as Public Health worked to address the cases of COVID in our community. Public Health has worked very hard working to identify contacts, coordinate testing and assess results. We are grateful for the work they did and are continuing to do.
Who can attend school tomorrow?
  • Students without any symptoms (vaccinated or not) who had not been identified by Public Health as being a close contact of a confirmed case
  • Students without any symptoms who had been identified by Public Health as being a close contact of a confirmed case but have told that their self-isolation ends on Thursday September 23rd.
  • Students without any symptoms, who are fully vaccinated and who had been identified by Public Health as being a close contact of a confirmed case.
Who should not be attending?
  • Students experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19
  • Students who have been identified by Public Health as a close contact of a confirmed case AND have been directed to continue to self-isolate past Thursday, September 23rd.
How do I know if my child has been identified as a close contact of a confirmed case?
  • Parents and guardians of a close contact would have received an e-mail message from the school’s School Messenger system and/or phone call from Public Health.
We understand this may be a difficult time for you and your child as we work together to ensure everyone’s health and safety is protected from COVID-19. We will continue to keep you updated with information as we receive it.
