2015-2016 New Brunswick Student Wellness Survey

The New Brunswick Student Wellness Survey is a provincial initiative of the New Brunswick Department of Social Development - Wellness Branch. Data collection and analysis is carried out by the New Brunswick Health Council in cooperation with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. The purpose of the survey is to examine the health and wellness attitudes and behaviours of students in grades 6-12.

Students will be asked questions about their wellness behaviours such as healthy eating, physical activity, tobacco-free living, mental fitness and resilience. In addition, the survey touches upon students’ perceptions about school, social relationships and environments, bullying, and health outcomes. Students in grades 7-12 will also be asked questions about sex, alcohol and drug use.

On February 24th, 2016 our school will be participating in this survey. If you would like more information on the NB Student Wellness Survey, please call the New Brunswick Health Council at 1-877-225-2521.

Please note that participation by students is voluntary and anonymous. Prior to the date of the survey, parents/guardians who do not want their child to participate can call the New Brunswick Health Council at 1-877-225-2521 and must provide the school name, student name, home room teacher’s name and grade.
